How ArtSnacks was born

In the fall of 2012 my Sister told me she was thinking about getting my fiancé, Lauren, a 3 month gift subscription to this thing called Birchbox. Every month she would be sent a cute little box full of about 5 cosmetic and beauty samples. She wouldn’t know beforehand what samples she would be receiving, making the contents of the box a surprise. Lauren loves makeup and I thought it was a terrific gift for my sister to give.

I instantly wondered if there was something like this for me. I love drawing pens & art supplies. After a few days of searching online the only thing that was close was a service that sent you a craft project to do at home every month.

I started questioning why there wasn’t a service that just delivered cool art supplies?

Aren’t cosmetics just art supplies for your face?

I knew what I wanted and it didn’t exist, so with the help of my sister, we built it.
